‘Sulukule Children’s Symphony Orchestra’ consisting of the children trained within the scope of Fatih Municipality’s project of An Orchestra in Each School gave a concert in Sulukule Art Academy. At the concert where amusing moments were experienced, listeners experienced moments full of emotion and enthusiasm.
“Sulukule Children’s Symphony Orchestra” which has been implemented with special efforts of Mayor of Fatih Mustafa Demir gave a concert in Sulukule Art Academy. Sulukule Children’s Symphony Orchestra which was implemented by Fatih Municipality in 2014 and consists of children has a combination of woodwind instruments. While the orchestra consists of young people playing Flute, Obua, Horn, Bassoon, Trombone, Trumpet and Clarinet, Sulukule Harmony Orchestra has the feature of being first as it is an orchestra consisting of children with a variety of instruments in Turkey.
The children trained by Sulukule Art Academy’s instructors met with the listeners with the well known works of the classical western music and many examples of folk songs and songs of Turkish music. Listeners experienced the moments full of emotion and enthusiasm at the concert where everyone from 7 to 77 had fun.
Çağrı Keskin, conductor of Sulukule Children’s Art Orchestra, said, “The concert we have performed this evening is a long time work. Of course its fruit is gorgeous. We together with our instructors all passed through challenging processes. We have been successful with our students. Today, we have got the fruit. We have performed a great concert with them.”
Noting that the concerts will continue, Keskin said, “There are big projects. Mayor of Fatih Mustafa Demir does not restrict us. He expects big projects, big plans from us. We are also conducting our studies on this. There will be abroad projects. Our Mayor has paved the way for us.”
